I'm not too sure how people view Doomers but I was raised by people who lived this:

So I really don't care how people see me as long as they continue to see me.

A good example of how Doomers view People.

Like everything else though, the truth is somewhere in between and will surprise everyone.

He also predicted the rise of nuclear powered man. But he didn't predict doom and gloom as a result of it.
