2008 Rookie of the Year

Postby wisconsin_cur » Sat 03 Jan 2009, 20:18:42

Here due to popular demand:

Use this thread to make nominations for "2008 Rookie of the Year". This category is for a poster. Please feel free to second, third, etc, other people's nominations. After 10 days (i.e. on January 13), I will close nominations and make the top nominated posters into a front page poll so people can vote. The poll will run another 10 days and on January 23, we'll announce the winner.

This is a new award; there was no winner last year.

Good Luck everyone

I nominate SixStrings. I constantly find myself in threads that he's created. He seems to be good at finding good news articles pertinent to the collapse of the financial and economic system.

And no no, gentlemen. You can't nominate me. I'm a reincarnation of another screen name. But thanks for the thought.

I nominate Angrybill, he's only been here justr a little over a month and has started some threads that actually gave me a new idea to think about. Doesn't matter to me that the idea's were not directly PO related, they excercised my brain and helped me keep it flexible.

Wow! Thanks SPG! I look forward to another exciting year of bantering with you about the markets!

I need to scratch my head for a bit on my nomination, but lately I've been enjoying StormBringer and his amazing marathon of posts about Yellowstone. [smilie=qgreenjumpers.gif] [smilie=qgreenjumpers.gif] HAPPY BEAR DANCE!! [smilie=qgreenjumpers.gif] [smilie=qgreenjumpers.gif]

I nominate Small Pox Girl for her amazingly informative insights on the stock market while it was crashing a few months ago.

After that I would like to nominate Pops. I like how he does things. We could all do with a bit of that positive even keel thinking.

There are many on this board I have learned from. Most are two numerous to mention. I still consider myself a novice newbie.

Kind Regards

Dr Bang

I appreciate the nod, but this category is for rookies. i.e. poster's who have been here less than a year.

There is a thread here for Poster of the Year: http://www.peakoil.com/fortopic49706.html

I would like to nominate Reverse Engineer. I'm a little surprised no one else did that yet. I really enjoy his contributions. Starting the "Geological & Cosmological event watch" thread is worth a nomination.

I have to go with Reverse Engineer as well. When I am feeling the need for some uber-doom I know precisely which thread to go to.
