The second I see an article featuring mathmatical phrases I quickly leave.
If you agree to this second rule and through it you begin to trust other people, you have violated the first rule.

I'm considerably older than you and I've found throughout my life for that not to actually be true(for me). I've been able to trust virtually everyone I've met (to some degree) and I've very rarely been let down.
Guess it just depends on one's experience. Which is "the Truth"? Seemingly, both are, since both have occurred. You've had a rotten experience with the human race, I've had a good one.
So you are saying that nobody has attempted to destroy you or a part of you in order to make themselves feel better.
Two possible reasons your experience is different from mine.
1) Nobody has seen your distruction as a way for them to benefit.
2) You have nothing that anyone wants. (money, body, effects, status, ...)
actually 3 reasons
3) You yourself are a destroyer, a user who recieves their jolly from ruining those around you.
