Well, we could just ban all weapons entirely, including your stash. Would you like that? I don't understand why peakoilers have such a hostile attitude towards the police. What kind of world would we be living in if all law and order were handled via vigilante justice? I'm not talking Batman with his batarangs here. You'd wind up with Baghdad style death squads and tit for tat revenge killings.

Ever hear of the term THE THIN BLUE LINE?

"The Thin Blue Line, a colloquial term for police and police forces. The term derives from The Thin Red Line and suggests that a thin line of police officers is all that prevents civilized society from descending into chaos. The Thin Blue line can also refer to the brotherhood of the profession."

BTW, kudos to David Spade. Phoenix is housing crash ground zero so I'm sure the cops have their hands busy.

I don't hate the police, each has its place in society, for criminals. The growing trend of weapons to control civi's I object to. The mindset to be more exact. The thought that they have to have such things alone is disturbing. Its almost as if they expect us to riot. If they expect such things they need to change what they are doing to create such unrest. I just dont like the direction things are going thats all.

Makes a great tool for interrogating suspects. No proof of damage done.

You could torture someone all day and the victim would be the only one to know.

inflict pain from a distance using beams of laser light or microwaves, with the intention of putting them into the hands of police to subdue suspects.

They are designed to elicit what the Pentagon calls a "repel response" - a strong urge to escape from the beam.

Is the irony not apparent? With this logic the officer will have to zap the person until he goes unconscious. It's like telling someone whose clothes or hair catches on fire to stand still or else they'll douse gasoline(more microwave) on them.

Metal interferes with microwave transmission. Protesters will have to wear chain mail and carry chromed direct tv dishes for protection.

Ouch... I mean, ouch! but it looks like it stops sparking after a few minutes... does that mean you would want to charge up your suit every day?

Protestor + 95-gigahertz microwave + tin foil == Stupid Person?

electromagnetic radiation may not be be able to penetrate a conductor, so you won't feel the pain weapon.

If those waves are not being dissipated, but instead are collecting into the tin foil, which I imagine would happen. then....

but hey, I am not a master of physics genius that the rest of you are.

an umbrella with the inside spray painted with aluminum paint is good.
plastic thermal blankets you can buy at camping places for dollar fit in your pocket and stop all pain, just cover up with it, you can see through them well enough to walk around.

Metal garbage can lids will shield you and even send the beam back to the pain gun operators.

Now for the fact that will mske this post of the year.

Microwaves at that frequency con't go through cotton. Wearing cotton clothes and long sleeves and jacket will absorb rays. Cotton baby diaper wrapped around head will prevent skin pain around face.

Cotton wide brim had, just tip youf head down and the brim shields the face and neck, really easy and you can't get arrewsted for planning any kind of protection, you just happened to have a hat on that day.
Thermal blanket is best, you can see through it.

I figured there had to be an easy way to beat this somehow. As with all weapons of this nature it probably won't stop what we lawenforcement types call the "goal oriented person". or those on drugs etc.

This just strikes me as more of a weapon for fat sheeple, sort of like a cattle prod. And no, I'm not a physics professor (or even graduate) but I do know how to use sheeple weapons. they train us nuckle draggers that far.

Beleive it or not they think its far more important for law enforcement to be able to communicate effectively than to have a physics degree. I leave that to y'all.

Hilarious "CopBusters" Nabs Illegal Police Breakin

Unread postby mattduke » Wed 31 Dec 2008, 22:46:42

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')'KopBusters' is a reality TV program that aims to sink crooked officers.

"It is not illegal to grow plants under a light in your home but it is illegal to lie on an affidavit and plant drugs on a citizen. This operation was the first of its kind in the history of America. Police sometimes have other police investigating their crimes but the American court system has never dealt with a group of citizens stinging the police. Will the police file charges on the team who took down the corrupt cops? We will keep you posted."

Don't miss the video clip of the illegal raid by the gunmen.

Bill proposes ISPs, Wi-Fi keep logs for police

Unread postby Ferretlover » Sat 21 Feb 2009, 16:17:38

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '[')b]Bill proposes ISPs, Wi-Fi keep logs for police February 19, 2009 10:45 PM PST:
Republican politicians on Thursday called for a sweeping new federal law that would require all Internet providers and operators of millions of Wi-Fi access points, even hotels, local coffee shops, and home users, to keep records about users for two years to aid police investigations.
The legislation, which echoes a measure proposed by one of their Democratic colleagues three years ago, would impose unprecedented data retention requirements on a broad swath of Internet access providers and is certain to draw fire from businesses and privacy advocates.
"While the Internet has generated many positive changes in the way we communicate and do business, its limitless nature offers anonymity that has opened the door to criminals looking to harm innocent children," U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, said at a press conference on Thursday. "Keeping our children safe requires cooperation on the local, state, federal, and family level." …

I think Twain was wrong. Patriotism may be the second to last refuge of a scoundrel. The last refuge of a scoundrel is invariably "protecting children."

George Carlin on protecting children: link

Of a thousand burning bridges
Sifting through the ashes every day
What we thought would never end
Now is nothing more than a memory
The way things were before
I lost my way" - OCMS

The EU Nanny state already does this:

"the European Parliament approved such a requirement for Internet, telephone and VoIP providers....

It won't go anywhere unless the dems who control DC want it, but......

....This tends to be a bipartisan sentiment: Attorney General Eric Holder, a Democrat, said in 1999 that "certain data must be retained by ISPs for reasonable periods of time so that it can be accessible to law enforcement." Rep. John Conyers, the Democratic chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said that FBI proposals for data retention legislation "would be most welcome."
