One thing I've noticed is the degree of commoditization with DVDs. There is just something, I dunno, unappealing about the huge tables with budget DVDs strewn haphazardly in a pile. It reminds me of the days of the videogame crash of 1984 when Atari 2600 titles were just sitting out on the floor in huge piles for people to sift through. When I see that sort of thing, it is like this diarrhea of consumerism, this messy crap that is literally streaming out so fast that retailers can't even be bothered to organize it onto shelves. I know Best Buy isn't all like that, but it's one of my pet peeves.
