Iraqi Throws Shoes At Bush (video)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'M')cClatchy reports that the man who hurled his shoes at Bush during his press conference was an Iraqi journalist. CNN notes that this is considered an insult among Muslims.

An Iraqi television journalist hurled two shoes at President Bush on Sunday during a joint news conference Bush was holding with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki to mark the signing of a U.S.-Iraq security agreement.

Bush had just finished his prepared remarks in which he said the security agreement was made possible by the U.S. surge of troops earlier this year, when the journalist, Muthathar al Zaidi pulled his shoes off and hurled them at the president. "This is a goodbye kiss, you dog," Zaidi shouted.

Sounds like a great idea for Americans to do as that a**hole finally gets lost come January.

Ive got a better Idea, why dont we throw the book at this guy when he comes back to the states. Patrick Fitzgerald would be a good choice for that job.

They should put those whoes in his presidential library.

I learned the plural possisive of security agents from that article.

A pack of dogs.

A route of wolves.

A warren of wombats.

A company of moles.

A passel of hogs.

A Bloat of hippopotami.

A scrum of security agents.

A clan of hyenas.

Anyway, there goes the very last Republican president. Thank God.

The idea that Bush could have been sporting a black eye from the shoe thrower gives me a chuckle.

Bush is still in great physical shape, with his biking exercise regime. Obama is 20 years younger and in even better condition because of his basketball exercise regime. I'm sure Obama would've handled that situation even better then Bush did.

Other than the slur on dogs, this was a highlight of the long Bush nightmare. Allah praise the shoe thrower!

Do you really believe Obama will be universally loved in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the US will once again be the friend of all, and all the cuddly puppies and fuzzy kittens at the pound will be adopted once Bush leaves office?

Secret Service was disturbingly slow to react. This guy had time to make epithets AND launch two shoes -- one at a time. You'll notice it was an Arab-looking reporter who reacted first, putting himself between the President and the shoe-thrower.
