Wow, what a load of posts! Now Mister Bill has got to be one of the most intelligent posters here. But now he's freaked out. I have to assume that our energy predicament has finally gotten the best of him. Tell me you are OK Bill.

MrBill is in a tiny group of The Best here.

But he got fed up with the idiotic ad homs and mean stuff and took a break from it all.

It's perfectly understandable. But he should check in now because the creepy commentary seems to have died down, thankfully.

Being too intelligent is a double edge sword... sometimes it's fine to just breath and not think much about anything.

Yeah he has been posting up a storm of rather strained sounding one-liners, most uncharacteristic...I fear that a lethal combination of the financial crisis and reverseengineer may have caused overloading of delicate neural pathways 8O I say go for it Bill, have your freakout, the dry camel of economic theory needs a good drink from the watering hole of absurdity now and then...in a world gone mad, the one-eyed man is king. Or something :-D 8O :-D

I was watching a show about Atlantis last night, and apparently it was close to Cyprus before the Great Flood.

I have long suspected that MrBill was an undercover Atlantian masquerading as a Canadian peak oil enthusiast financier.

I think that Golem was actually sent here to flush him out using advanced counter-Atlantian techniques, which are far too subtle for the typical cognitive setup to decipher.

I'm not sure where all that leaves us, but I suspect MrBill is on the run, sort of like a James Bond-flavored Valentine Michael Smith from "Stranger in a Strange Land."

I hope that helps. [smilie=4robot.gif]

Mr Bill works in the financial biz. That may explain it. Not a good place to be these days.

Yeah I would bet he has lost a fair sum of money these days.

As you recall, Valentine Michael Smith was eaten at the end of the book. Was he indeed "James Bond-flavored"?
I hope our Mr Bill will not meet a similar fate....

i thought you were talking about the other Mr. Bill
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZuEBRL9dbA

i guess there are 3 of them, "our" MrBill, and the puppet that looks like Jack from the Jack-in-the-Box commercial. Oh, that's only 2. i think i'm getting the Mr Bill name mixed up with Mr. Rogers.

Isn't there a human actor who uses the name "Mr. Bill" ?

I am a huge MrBill fan. He has left much more of value here than he could ever have possibly taken away.

He's probably just taking a break, as we all should from time to time.
