If you had a million $?

if somebody gave you a million dollars, how would you spend it on getting prepared for the future?

I had to do a project like this for math in middle school, and I got:

$223,200 for 23 Acres
$589,806.93 for House
$13,864.04 supplies-this category was originally something else
$83,977.23 Furnishings
$26,436 Appliances
$24,480 Electronics
$17,436.94 Outdoor Recreational equipment
$20,797.00- Maintenance Equipment.

NOW-Consider that this list was made well before I knew of PO, and I need to go through and make some revisions to it know.

How would you spend your $1 Million?

That's easy. I'd buy up several shares (they cost $5,000 each) in the local organic co-op. Its in an agricultural reserve so it cant be used for anything else and not all of the land is being used, its sitting there wasting away. I'd get it in shape and producing food. by the time it is going well I would have the demand for the produce.

that would give me and many others jobs for when TSHTF, and provide more locally grown food.

I will never have a million dollars, let alone one hundred thousand, so why even fantasize about what I would do with this non-existant money in my hands. If I decided to wipe my butt with the pretend money it wouldn't make a slight difference for one reason: I will never have a million dollars. Hell, I would be lucky to get into the upper middle class catagory. It has been observed that most people stay within the same social stratification that they were born into. Why dream big when I'm just surviving?

First of all a million dollars IMO is chicken feed. If you speak about $20 million now you are talking.

But if someone gave me a million dollars I sure wouldn't spend it. I would try to make more off of it and if I had decided now is the time to run to the hills I sure wouldn't be paying $10,000 an acre for land you could buy good arable land for around $50 an acre in Bolivia and buy something substantial.

A million, well I could pay my bills, cut up the credit cards and keep farming and maybe even go fishing once in awhile.

I am a little long in the tooth, so that would probably last me, IF I choose not to buy all those expensive medications.

Greek islands HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!Maybe South Seas too.A man can do PO forever in places like that.Picking fruit off trees,hiding the sailboat in cozy littles coves,spearfishing.Endless summers and lots of hawaiian tropic.

Forget the blow.Here all you have to do is breathe deeply.
Now,on the hookers.............nahhhh........ theres lots of amorous European lasses here in the summer and all they want to do is play.

We can even get a couple Bulgarian Kalasniks and some tracers and do fireworks at night.
