Ludi, my daughter was happy all her life, and then died, suddenly, five years ago.

There is no point in worrying about the inevitable. Just make sure that you're content in what you're doing.

For me, I'm posting here a lot less since Montequest left. His pernicious, moral-sapping philosophy needed to be countered. Now I don't really feel the need to be here.

I've gleaned lots of things from this site (and thanks to you personally for the Bio-intensive recommendations), but you do need to live your life in the real world. What's the mathematical possibility that we each as individuals could be here right now, breathing and sentient? Just enjoy it. You're well prepared, now just relax. The rest is in God's hands (whoever he is).

Davep, I am so so sorry to hear about your loss. There are no words :(

I agree with your post.

Ludi, I really doubt you will be dead in 2 years from zombies lol. The other things you mention, who knows? If anyone on this site knew exactly how peak oil was going to play out, they would have no reason to continue posting here. Life is full of unknowns & surprises.
