Same shiz different dance. IIRC the biggest difference is the lift:drag ratio, although I'm not sure how much of a difference there is based on what I've read. Minimizing pressure drag while increasing lift reduces the stall speed for planes just like windmills, and while we don't have to worry about stall speed w/ autos the more we can reduce drag, albeit while trying to minimize lift, the less energy we need to expend moving air. We don't have many blades w/ a 90 degree angle at the back for a reason, although I can't we're that concerned about autos... ;)
