I've posted here about my daughter's exploits in Volleyball. Now she's got a round trip ticket to Finland to play her game. Free apartment, free diners at the local restaurant, $1900/month salary. She leaves next Friday. A new adventure for her. My concern at first when she told me about it was that she would have a one-way ticket and the company would go bankrupt, leaving her stranded in Finland. But no, it's a round trip ticket. What a deal, she's got one fine agent.

My brother tells me that the Finns are among the the most creative boozers in the world. My girl has laid off the booze to increase her competitive edge. It runs in the family. Brilliance and Folly. I hope those Finns don't corrupt her.
