Matt mentions asking a roomful of engineers from Schlumberger and the like about global decline rate, getting basically an answer north of CERA's 4.5%. Schlumberger's CEO himself said it may be in the vicinity of 8%, but if that were true I think we'd have had non-hurricane related shortages in the US this year. (Maybe we did!) Matt's big theme of transparency of data would be of immense value right around now - from CERA! Oh yeah, the Saudis too. What in God's name are we looking at?
I hope he gets somewhere with the next POTUS. Work off some of that energy illiteracy. But oh! the profits to be had from obfuscation.
