Some cereals are more than 50% sugar

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')wo cereals, Kellogg's Honey Smacks and Post Golden Crisp, are more than 50 percent sugar (by weight) and nine are at least 40 percent sugar. And that's not the only issue. Although Kellogg's Rice Krispies has only 4 grams of sugar per serving, it got only a Fair rating, largely because it is higher in sodium and has zero dietary fiber.

lol

Once these kids are hyper on sugar .. next they'll be on the attention deficit disorder drugs lol

The other 50% consists of recycled cereal print ads . Most childrens cereal contains 333% of the recomended daily allowance of Marketing.
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Oats are cheaper anyway. Is this true that American families really have to save money? How much is a packet of oats and how much a packet of cereal - by weight?

If you had to make kids useless as to thinking ability and deductive reasoning to determine wether kerosene can melt steel, the best way is to feed them sugar, caffiene and make them watch transformer cartoons, then send them to school and pass laws against letting them work with welders, saws and construction tools until they are 18.

Seems to have worked, voila! a useless society.

Rolled oats not oatmeal. Have you forgotten how to make something out of it? Jason, you might learn to cook simple meals before TSHTF??

It's museli for me in the mornings. The brand cereals are shocking, no wonder kids are so hyper and generally messed up these days with all the sugar, caffeine and artificial stuff they eat.

I never undertsood why cereal is so popular. I can eat 5 huge bowls of cereal and still not feel full, instead I feel tired. I usually eat chicken for breakfast instead, it makes me feel full and energized.

Most breakfats food is garbage anyways (it's all carbs and saturated fat and very low levels of protein)... french toast, sausage, pancakes, fruit juice, cereal,etc... it's the worst junk food you can find. Most breakfast food makes you feel hungier and more tired than you were before you ate it.
