What a lovely thread. Browsing the 7 pages it seems like I am reading through a new set of cultural values of the post peak world; friendships, good food, appreciation of your job, community etc.
My family is very excited that after a 6 month long negotiation we have just acquired 400 acres of land in western Panama close to the Costa Rican border. It is at 5500 feet above sea level in cloud forest habitat, open pastures with old growth forest and it is located at the top a valley and borders Central America’s largest wilderness, La Amistad National Park. Great land for potatoes, grazing, premium coffee, good water, fertile soils and just breaths magic with the proximity of this vast wilderness. We hope to finish up all are other projects and relocate there within the next 18 months. Here are some pics
