The deal is Democracy and our system especially is fluid; More like a willow than an oak.
Things get tough and people buck up, too much power gets too concentrated and those with less stir the pot, one ideology makes policy for too long and another ascends.
Democracy ain't quick for sure but in the 16 national elections I've participated in I have never been afraid of being shot.
A pretty good record I'm thinking.
