The Carnegie Foundation - one of the largest tax exempt foundations in existance - has an unspoken charter to influence the education of our children in a way that aligns most closely with socialism.

Can't say that I will miss Prof. Pausch.

Godspeed Jerry.

Very sad. He was a monster talent on guitar and other stringed instruments.

One of my favorite movie parts is when he drives over those motorcycles after getting his ass kicked in Smokey and the Bandit. Now that's payback!

Among the first albums that I stole from my dad's collection and listed to over and over again were his. He was and remains my rock-a-billy hero.

Rest in Peace

Lots of great stuff, Color of Money, etc.

I think my favorite is Nobody's Fool

Thanks and RIP.

What a talent. Great guy. I remember a story about him putting a Porsche engine in a VW bug and driving to Vegas passing fancy cars and laughing.

My boys and I just watched The Sting again last night. He made that movie ... what talent. Seems like all the greats are passing on. :(

Hud will finish downloading in a few minutes. One of Newman's famous anti-hero roles.

The last great movie I saw with him in it was "message in a bottle" based on adaptation of the novel by Nicholas Sparks.

Ironically that is my username as well.

The Latest Roger Waters News
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')t is with extreme sadness that REG must report the death of Richard Wright.
LONDON - Richard Wright, a founding member of Pink Floyd, died Monday. He was 65. Wright's spokesman said in a statement: "The family of Richard Wright, founder member of Pink Floyd, announce with great sadness that Richard died today after a short struggle with cancer.

Richard William "Rick" Wright (28 Jul 1943 – 15 Sep 2008) was a pianist and keyboardist best known for his career with Pink Floyd.[1] Wright's richly textured keyboard layers were a vital ingredient and a distinctive characteristic of Pink Floyd's sound. In addition, Wright frequently sang background and occasionally lead vocals onstage and in the studio with Pink Floyd (most notably on the songs "Time", "Echoes", and on the Syd Barrett composition "Astronomy Domine").

Though not as prolific a songwriter as his bandmates Roger Waters and David Gilmour, he wrote significant parts of the music for classic albums such as Meddle, The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, as well as for Pink Floyd's final studio album The Division Bell.
