Yes I think I'll follow the bushie klan on down.

Sheit, you gotta learn to laugh a bit... :)

(p.s. on the only side of my family to have been in the America's long enough, they opted out of the civil war by becoming Californians in the 1840's...so they killed mexicans and anglo-squaters instead...or so the bedtime story goes... :) )

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Jotapay', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AgentR', 'I')nsurance is a luxury item. As long as I feel like I'm getting my money's worth, I'll carry insurance; the moment I don't... I won't. Won't even hesitate or be troubled by it for a moment.

You son of a bitch! You mean I'm paying for your insurance as well as the illegals because you are some low income person who can get away with it as well?? You mother farking scam artist you. Where do you live??

Currently I am paying for insurance, because I get good value for the money. I have plenty of income, but if the product becomes unattractive for whatever reason, I certainly feel no moral obligation to carry it even if it is easily affordable.

FWIW surprisingly, you CAN "get away with" not having insurance as a medium or even high income person; because it is a LUXURY item. Drive the speed limit and don't hit stuff. Regular doctors office visits are cheaper than you might imagine, and when its your money, you've got a reason to tell the doc, "thanks, but no thanks."

To answer your page-5 comments...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('The_Virginian', 'B')ut just how does the Government "run out of money" when it has the ability to do so from "thin air"?

I think that is implied in their statement, ie, "short of directly adding cash to the system..." Most assuredly, the Feds have all the power they need to print 30 1 trillion dollar bills and call the score even. Doing so, would make much more of a mess than this little magical back and forth they are doing currently with bonds and special purpose corps etc..

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'O')bviously they want the open fiction that a dollar has value, thus they will hide the electronic "ones and Zeroes" that make up our "dollar" behind the concrete walls of another Government run "Bank" (of sorts).

The dollar will always have SOME value, since SOME amount of dollars are required to pay various land and trade taxes As long as the game goes on as it is now, the continuity of value in the dollar should remain relatively smooth, and so the balance between the value of a trade in dollars and the taxes owed on the trade in dollars (or lands), can be maintained.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')his bank will magically reduce bad debt and take it off the books.

Its gotta go somewhere. Pretending that the 2 million dollar loan on the CA house that is now worth $500,000 will ever perform just isn't realistic. Better to just write it off, setup the holding pool, and take your lumps.

It will work because the majority WANT it to work.

My brother has hit hard times. No income with only food stamps and energy asisstance. Last night I told him - screw the credit card payment and insurance, yes even the auto insurance. What can they do? In desperate times one must do desperate things.

Quit thinking like a middle class white boy.

8) Whats this the dollar has no value crap?? Place seventeen of them on the counter and they will hand over a thirty pack of Bud. Now thats value. A dollar is just a medium of exchange and its value is set by what you will do to get one. As long as people work for dollars and can buy the things they need and want with them they will have value. In fact the value of a dollar in hand may well be going up. The Mcmansion that cost 1.2 million dollars last year can now be had for $600,000 and the roof still dosnt leak and the pool is just as deep.

I agree on most of your points, and it seems you agree with Most of mine.

However they do have the ability to make things "dissapear" and the best way to do that is to make sure it does not see the light of day to begin with.

If Merryl , Morgan stanley , AIG, etc. etc. etc. are owned by the GOV (or privateers chartered by corporate Gov)...then they HAVE NO STOCKHOLDER obligations (like divulging even phony balance sheets).

If they have "debts" that you never heard of, and those debts go away in a fed "clearing house"....would anyone know enough to CARE?

They know just fine. They will choose to ignore.

The whole mess of hiding, obfuscating, and ignoring risk over the last decade or so has led to this point. Everyone knows that there are billions upon billions of dollars in loans backed by substantially less valuable assets. As long as they are not jammed right under anyone's nose however, they've all decided to elect blissful indifference over cataclysmic settlement.

Not necessarily an unwise decisions.

Keep the party moving; try not to look over the fantail at the bodies drifting off to sea. Look to the bow, sunshine and taquila!
Yes, we are. As we are.
