Today I enjoyed the oil age...

I know how everyone loves the doom and gloom on PO.com, but how about we take a minute to lighten up. Tell us how you enjoyed the oil age today.

For myself: I just enjoyed a lovely hot bath in fresh drinking water in a centrally heated room.

I burned 6 million BTU's of propane to heat the swimming pool so I could be more comfortable.

Made it nicer to swim.

I have to turn the oil burner on each day to take a hot shower.

I drove to the drive up window at Wendy's and bought myself a tasty taco salad, whose chili meat probably was shipped from New Zealand.

I just pulled a ice cream bar from the freezer and had a glass of milk from the fridge.

I bought an iPod and had it shipped overnight from China instead of just going to the store.

I drove my 350 Ford truck into town to get some screws and a few 2x4's cause it is fun to drive instead of the honda civic which could have easily carried the 2x4's. I thought how soon I will not be able to drive it any more. I am an oil holic.

I was able to take one of my animal companions to the vet today, as it was having a tooth problem, and will probably have it extracted, after the abscess has healed. Premium DENTAL vet care for an ANIMAL. We will not see this kind of care for humans, let alone animals, maybe for the exception of *some* livestock which the very rich will breed for quality meat.
In the future, this animal will be a target for food source, and will never make it to the age it is right now (about 12 or so) in the wild, where it's feral descendants will have to again forage for thier food...rats, mice, etc.
