Sarah Palin: Family values?

What's on your mind?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('FoolYap', 'I')f Sarah Palin wants to tout her wunnerful mothering skills while she wants to preach sexual abstinence, it's fair game to chortle over the results in her own home.

Chortle away, Steve.
There are few things more amusing then other people's problems with their kids, and heaven knows Bristol Palin's being 17 and pregnant is far more amusing then Biden's son who is a million-dollar lobbyist for the asbestos industry because of his influence with.......his dad. 8)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('CarlinsDarlin', 'W')ith the money she spent on that pre-cooked chicken and one dozen store bought cookies, she could have bought the ingredients for 12 dozen cookies, and fed a flock of 25 chickens for a week, getting the eggs as a bonus.
Oh, and btw, I have also worked in the career world. I worked for 20 years in a professional capacity

sounds like you are in a good situation. I'm glad for you. Did you by any chance accumulate some capital in all those years of professional work? Just curious.

Well, we had a 20 year old mobile home and a couple new cars with payments, if you call that capital. :)

Actually, if you're asking if we have a tidy little nest egg that has supported us since? Nope. We live just like most people, paycheck to paycheck, setting back any extra we have and trying to budget. We pay cash or we don't buy it for the most part.

We have no debt now, but what we did have was paid off AFTER I quit my job by the careful budgeting of the one paycheck coming in. We have our home paid for, cars paid for, and owe about $300 on one credit card that is used only in emergencies.

The capital we do have is a stable home, a good family, and a place that barring the MBZ scenario (and as long as I'm able to keep up with the taxes on), nobody will ever be able to make me leave from.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Plantagenet', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('RedStateGreen', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Plantagenet', 'G')osh. Where were all these concerns about women working outside the home when Nancy Pelosi became speaker of the house?
Did she have any of that stuff going on? No. Her children were grown and only one even still lived with them. Completely different situation.
So its only OK for women to work outside the home if the children are all grown and gone?
A majority of American women with children now work outside the home....should they all quit their jobs and stay home and bake cookies?

If they can afford it, they shouldn't be working 8 hour days, with 2 hour commutes. It's destructive not just to their families, but to the greater community. And if you think staying home is all about baking cookies, you're dead wrong.

Ms. Palin will have a 10 hour commute to Washington. She will find life in DC to be a very different world from her own.

I don't think she knows what she's gettin in to.

I'm amazed that people are unaware of Hillary Clinton's famous statement in which she explained why she continued to work and dismissed stay-at-home moms who don't work outside the home as people who stay home and bake cookies.

I mentioned it above to show the irony of leftists attacking Palin for not staying at home and baking cookies.

"I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas, but what I decided to do was to fulfill my profession."

I think most people should work at or very near home, especially parents.

Part of that relocalization thing we talk about a lot. :)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')t's not so much a child as a photo prop. She probably had 5 abortions waiting to get a baby with downs.

And you've probably had none, because there isn't a man alive who'd stick his **** in you. Wait, perhaps some of Obama's relatives might.

Holy crap! SPG has said some pretty outrageous things, like the time she wanted to execute loggers or something like that, but this is over the top. Dang, things are getting really dicey around here lately.

If they did, you can bet the prices of homes would deflate in a hurry!

The machine wants women working.

I would not complain. The new American culture that is building is the Machismo culture. The woman are not allowed by the man to reprimand or discipline the boys yet the woman takes 100% care of the children. Thus the boys grow up to be like daddy and even worse. You woman had it all. Womans sufferage was amazing. Your feminism killed your cause off. You have not seen nothing yet. Your cause is dying every day. If or when I have child I pray it will nto be a girl. Woman will be the cannon fodder once again. As the great jazz musician Miles davis once said: "Woman have been the biggest niggers in history". Welcome back.
And the feminists and the gynocracy is killing off the last of the MAN in America just when you need him! You had the man sensitive and strong but that was not enough for ya all! hahahaha. Crazy world.

Thank you for the compliment, dear. The last of the American men will need all the self defense, self preservation, strength, true compassion and brutality. And firepower! we can get.
Lefties are so twisted and tweaked they have no idea what the fuck they are doing! :-) hee haw hee haw! It will be some spectacle to see the lefties overhwelmed when that time comes.
Oh and to me and my circle of brothers and sisters the righties(conservatives) are lefties (liberal to the core). The mainstream are fake soft and fluffy.
And when you strip it all away you peace lovin lefties love to KILL. And KILL often. Proxy killing.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Ludi', 'I')t's just bizarre to me that apparently being Vice President is more important to her than her child.

:(

Our maternity leave programs (or lack of) are among the worst in the world. I laugh every time I hear some politician talk about family values... which is really just their code for no gay marriage.
