Sarah Palin: Family values?

Unread postby Ludi » Tue 09 Sep 2008, 12:13:04

Why isn't Sarah Palin home raising her little special needs baby? How can she properly raise this infant and be Vice President at the same time?
Granted I have extremely old-fashioned ideas about raising babies, but, I thought the Republicans are supposed to represent these traditional values. This bugs me. :x

It's not so much a child as a photo prop. She probably had 5 abortions waiting to get a baby with downs.

How long will it be until the Obama campaign releases a statement demanding that moms quit their jobs, stay home, and raise their kids.

It's just bizarre to me that apparently being Vice President is more important to her than her child.

A lot of women want careers outside the home. Women are no longer satisfied to stay home and just be little suzy home-maker.

This is a woman who has never left her home town. She is governor of Alaska and has to go to her job there, but I don't think she moved out of Wasilla where she was raised. Going to Washington is going to be a nightmare for her and her family. This isn't going to be good for the country. Why does she want this job?

The USA is nothing like Alaska. They handed out over $2000 to every Alaskan last year. I wish Maine was handing out $2000. There was an additional $1200 to every person to pay heating costs. Governor

The US is broke. We can't pay people just for being here.

This ain't gonna be no picnic for her and McCain if they get in there.

Think about who previously held the job. Of course shes a sham. Of course she's a power crazed megalomaniac. Why else would she have been offered the job?

She is an actress. The dutiful pro-life mom is a role that tests well with target groups of likely voters. That woman would cut your spleen out if it would help her get power.

Why does Biden want the job? Why does Obama want the job? Isn't it obvious they are all politicians and they all want the same thing--- political power?

Theres a new plank for the Dems! Keep em home and pregnant! Lets repeal their right to vote too!! LOL

Liberals only support liberal women. Conservative women need not apply. Same goes with blacks. Liberals trash successful "conservative" black men and women.(Ie Justice Thomas or Condi) They don't don't fit the mold of being dependent on the State for their success.

Very sad!

She's the ultimate Trojan horse. Once McCanus is elected, she'll be put out to pasture, rarely to be heard from again. As for the Christian fundamentalists voting for her, it won't be the first time they've been duped, if you catch my drift.

How is she as a Governor? That might tell us a bit about how she will be as VP?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Revi', 'H')ow is she as a Governor? That might tell us a bit about how she will be as VP?

Palins got 80% approval---highest in the country.

She completely rewrote the Alaska state tax deal with the oil companies so Alaska takes in a lot more tax revenue. She negotiated a 50 billion natural gas pipeline to the lower 48----largest construction project in North America, she responded to the high oil prices by rescinding the state gas tax (i.e. we don't pay any gas tax) and she pushed through a payment of $1200 per person from the state coffers to help offset the high heating oil prices. She's vetoed stuff right and left from the state budgets to keep spending down.

Theres been no sign of any religous or moralistic stuff at all from her----I didn't even know she was religous until the Obama campaign started their attacks on her. She's done good.

If you liked Cheney you'll love Biden.

Both are from the same clique of Washington insiders.

Palin definitely isn't part of that group.

She seems to have spent a lot of her time at home in Wasilla. She even billed the taxpayers for the time she spent at home:

www.azcentral.com/news/election/electio ... 08-ON.html

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a "per diem" allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.

The governor also has charged the state for travel expenses to take her children on official out-of-town missions. And her husband, Todd, has billed the state for expenses and a daily allowance for trips he makes on official business for his wife.

Palin, who earns $125,000 a year, claimed and received $16,951 as her allowance, which officials say was permitted because her official "duty station" is Juneau, according to an analysis of her travel documents by The Washington Post.

The governor's daughters and husband charged the state $43,490 to travel and many of the trips were to and from their house in Wasilla and Juneau, the capital city 600 miles away, the documents show.

Wow! This is going to be scary! This person is going to be a heartbeat away from the presidency! At least she'll be home in Wasilla, after moving the White House there, like she did as governor of Alaska.
