Any undecided U.S. voters here?

Unread postby gampy » Fri 05 Sep 2008, 11:56:45

Is there anyone here who plans to vote, who is on the fence?

Just curious, because for myself, I usually know who I am going to vote for quite early in elections. Be it municipal, provincial, or federal.

Very rarely, if ever, have I changed my mind leading up to election night.

I usually vote for the individual, as opposed to the party. The party has some role in who I vote for, of course, but I usually look at the individual's qualities. Trustworthy? Intelligent? Policies I would agree with?

Just kind of wondering what thought processes go into people's choice of candidate.

If the vast majority of people have made up their minds, I suppose the lead up to the election is now just a circus, and a way to keep the pundits employed.

I am undecided over whether to write in Ron Paul on the ballet or not even bother.

TomaYto, TomaHto.

I haven't a clue yet. One day I'll like Obama, the next I'll like McCain (even though I as well wish that Ron Paul had a legitimate shot to win...)

Thanks Novus. I was have a hard enough time with Nader vs. Barr. Now you have to throw Paul's name back into the ring for me.

So far, it'll likely be Nader. Or just stay home and masturbate. Probably masturbate. At least then I get some satisfaction.

Years ago I liked McCain (when he was a maverick) and would have voted for him, but now I can't stand him. So I'll vote for the other guy, even though it doesn't matter.... :(

I'm voting for Obama, but even though McCain has drifted to the right out of necessity, I think a McCain administration wouldn't be the direct continuation of BushCo that the left fears it will. So no matter what happens, I think the next administration is going to be an improvement.

Can't vote for either major candidate because each is about equally pro-war. I'll only vote anti-war. No war.

What we have here is More War vs. More War, and therefore More War will win.

Which peace candidate is out there anyhow? I'm talking about who will promise to end the US military occupation of Islamic nations within 30 days or less of taking office?

That person will get my vote! :)

The candidate that will get my vote is the one that will end the illegal occupation of the US by Hispanic nations within a year.

I'm not American but its hilarious watching the drooling flag waving retards on TV. There is simply no discussion of any serious issues. No discussion of the federal reserve, the problems with the money system, the 2 wars, the balance of payment deficit .. etc etc etc.

Don't worry about it Du it's an American thing. We love our symbols; they connect us emotionally to our shared beliefs.

I am voting for McCain because:

The political machine he represents is dominated by factions that believe in:

1. America first.
2. Private property.
3. A desire not to drive religion from the public forum.
4. A belief that the second amendment confers an individual right.
5. A belief that government is not the solution.
