What does 'country first' mean?

Unread postby Duende » Tue 02 Sep 2008, 23:20:54

So, I was watching the GOP convention tonight and was mystified by how many people wear cowboy hats. A disproportionate amount to the country as a whole I would guess, but I digress...

I saw the slogan 'country first' written all over banners and the signs the conventioneers were waving around mindlessly. I am wondering what that banner is suggesting.

Any thoughts?

That they are mindless drones who cheer U S A! U S A! at international sporting events.

I think it goes to the McCain campaign propagandist's tactic of painting the other guy as un-patriotic. The republicans have become nationalists of the worst kind.

Although "Change we can believe in" is not a whole lot better.

It had to do with Liebrman's speech he said he supported John McCain because what is right for the country comes before his own party.

And Country first is also McCain's campaign slogan.

HELP calling all help!

First clue was when bill went ballistic when he realized his boss was loosing the democratic nomination.

They are really ticked nothing will go untried and then the repubs will loose.

Which country was Lieberman referring to? Because I'm pretty sure it wasn't the US.

Yeah, what would a senator know about politics?

That line is getting old, I mean what was Bushies resume before president? Governor who presided over the most executions? Managed to run an oil company into ruin in Texas?

Not that I'm any fan of the Obamanation either...

I have no candidate....

This is the illuminati slogan of
"The needs of the many outweigh the rights of the few"

or

put another way.

We will take all your rights to keep our system going.

this is the same slogan Hitler used.

* Work and Bread
* Make Germany Self-Sufficient, country first.
* Smash Communism (terrorism now)
* Germany Needs a Strong Government (McCain)
* Free Germany from the Jews (now its zionism) This is just as false now as it was then.

* Away with the November Criminals! (The ones who attacked and burned their nicest building (reichstag).

Tell me, what is different now from the Republicans and the Nazi"s?

The reason they are the same is they still are the same.
'

By the way, Hitlers Secret Service burned the richstag, then used it as a slogan to blame the zionist Jews.

Some things never change do they?

They are lying treasonous sacks of shit. The RINO party sold us out long ago. The problem with capitalism is that eventually the country will be sold out in the quest for profits. Now commies dont get your panties all wet with that. Your shitstem is far worse.

"Country first" means McCain is on the same page as Obama. All successful politicians are collectivists, all preaching the same impossible-to-achieve moral standard. Your dreams mean nothing, only the dreams of others have any value. Break your back for total strangers while you struggle to make a mortgage payment.

Irrational patriotism arises when people believe without justification that patriotism in itself is a virtue to be honored.

'country first' , 'die for your country' , 'love your country' etc. are manifestations of this attitude.

Frankly I'll say that people are being egoistic and vain when they boast of their patriotism.

There are many politicalparties in the world, but only one Nazi organization, and it remains the same. Obama is not a nazi (neo-con), they hate blacks. And Jews. You can vote forwhomever you want, as for me and my house, we don't want to go through the holocaust again so soon. After the world elite gain world control they will again, finally pin the blame on the zionists and remove them again, all of them. Inevitable. They hate them.

Why don't you call it what it really is?
Nationalism is called Fascism.
Go ahead, I dare you to say it.

The republicans are _____'s.

Sports was extremely important to hitler's treich movement, it trained people to mindlessly root for their team, it taught them how to be good fascists. Very important. There are so many parallels.

They just haven't brainwashed the people well enough yet. In europe they voted against the constitution (yay France!)
So they had to change French leaders. Wherever they fail they fix the problem.

When Obama gets elected they will have to fix that problm, and then it will be all sewed up, then after his four years, they will use their dynasty who has been eating spaghetti and taking steroids to get ready, to take all your rights and throw them out the window.

And then it would be over exept for one thing.

Peak oil unpeaks.
. Yes it will. And all the best laid plans of mice and men will go awry. There is Justice, and she will stand up. Just be ready.

Chill out. 'country first' has been around since Sparta. It's not a new thing, although it's been corrupted in a different ways. One way being the one you point out of the desire for power. This has been around forever, although the degree to which it affects us negatively could be growing.

Wake up, sparta was nationalist (same group)
So was Babylon and egypt and Greece.

The PTB boast that their lineage goes all the way back to the pharaohs. Sparta definitely taught the mind control that is how they fought, their society was built around war. That is how they encouraged 300 men to die for nothing. Mid control for honor.
The nazi phrase is "DIE FOR HONOR"
The second reich had its vacation castle in mystra in Greece.
same for sparta goes way back. Its all one historical flow.

Wherever there was a majr war, the PTB were there. Same with today, wherever there is a major conflict, the PTB are running it.

The Promise

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

The Laws

TRUSTWORTHY
A Scout tells the truth. He keeps his promises. Honesty is part of his code of conduct. People can depend on him.
LOYAL
A Scout is true to his family, Scout leaders, friends, school, and nation.
HELPFUL
A Scout is concerned about other people. He does things willingly for others without pay or reward.
FRIENDLY
A Scout is a friend to all. He is a brother to other Scouts. He seeks to understand others. He respects those with ideas and customs other than his own.
COURTEOUS
A Scout is polite to everyone regardless of age or position. He knows good manners make it easier for people to get along together.
KIND
A Scout understands there is strength in being gentle. He treats others as he wants to be treated. He does not hurt or kill harmless things without reason.
OBEDIENT
A Scout follows the rules of his family, school, and troop. He obeys the laws of his community and country. If he thinks these rules and laws are unfair, he tries to have them changed in an orderly manner rather than disobey them.
CHEERFUL
A Scout looks for the bright side of things. He cheerfully does tasks that come his way. He tries to make others happy.
THRIFTY
A Scout works to pay his way and to help others. He saves for unforeseen needs. He protects and conserves natural resources. He carefully uses time and property.
BRAVE
A Scout can face danger even if he is afraid. He has the courage to stand for what he thinks is right even if others laugh at or threaten him.
CLEAN
A Scout keeps his body and mind fit and clean. He goes around with those who believe in living by these same ideals. He helps keep his home and community clean.
REVERENT
A Scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties. He respects the beliefs of others.

What is this duty to God? :?

The "Reverent" and "Loyalty" bit are questionable as virtuous qualities and easily exploitable.
