I guess most people on this forum have seen or heard Dr. Bartlett's fascinating presentation on exponential growth (If you haven't, you must!); anyway, using bacteria in a bottle, he presents an example of this growth and its terrible consequences, and how, by doubling, in just an hour the bacteria would fill the bottle up, thus running out of space and resources, and how even if the bacteria were to find another three more empty bottles, they would fill them up in just a couple of minutes after they used up the first bottle which took them an hour to fill.

So, my question to you is: What time do you think it is right now for the human race? How close are we to 12 o'clock?
