I've always wanted to be killed by a predator: large felid, canid pack, crocodilian, snakebite or large constrictor, shark... I used to swim far offshore of Long Island beaches when in grad school, wondering if there just might be a great white cruising for mammalian prey in the vicinity. I've always wondered what a rattlesnake bite would feel like, altho I'm too skilled in catching & handling venomous snakes - & to chicken to actually allow one to bite me intentionally - to find out. Since it isn't very likely that I'm going to be taken out by a predator in a manner befitting the environment of ancestral adaptation, I suppose I'll just wait until I'm sufficiently decrepit COC: Threads and posts advocating suicide will be edited or deleted without notice.-FL Thanks for asking.

If I get to choose I want to die when I am so old there is no point in staying alive, but dying in a manner in which I will be doing the greatest good for all. I would volunteer to sacrifice myself for others* doing something heroic.

Dying in battle as the last man standing having killed the most and knowing I had made the utmost sacrifice for the most precious thing in the world and knowing I had succeeded would be the best scenario I can think.

* disclaimer: "Others" here mean people who I consider worthy of salvation. I will not sacrifice myself for fools and people who live dishonorable and meaningless lives, specially knowing that my sacrifice would ease or facilitate the continuation of their lifestyles.
