Golem, if that really is your back yard it's beautiful, man. Eastbay, if you favor Socialism, it's not my place to criticize you for it. Jay, I wish I was as smart as you. Mercurygirl, I'm sorry, I mean it.

Now we have only to hear from Eastbay. Something tells me he's not in a forgiving mood.

You've got a point, a-hole. But I think I covered my tracks in the HOF. Jay and Eastbay can drop dead, but Mercurygirl is a sweetheart. 8) And golem, heh heh, I've already addressed that today.

Just in time:

Soon we will all have to give equal time to every view of ours.

FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell raised that as a possibility after talking with bloggers at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. McDowell spoke about a recent FCC vote to bar Comcast from engaging in certain Internet practices – expanding the federal agency’s oversight of Internet networks.

The commissioner, a 2006 President Bush appointee, told the Business & Media Institute the Fairness Doctrine could be intertwined with the net neutrality battle. The result might end with the government regulating content on the Web, he warned. McDowell, who was against reprimanding Comcast, said the net neutrality effort could win the support of “a few isolated conservatives” who may not fully realize the long-term effects of government regulation.

“I think the fear is that somehow large corporations will censor their content, their points of view, right,” McDowell said. “I think the bigger concern for them should be if you have government dictating content policy, which by the way would have a big First Amendment problem.”

“Then, whoever is in charge of government is going to determine what is fair, under a so-called ‘Fairness Doctrine,’ which won’t be called that – it’ll be called something else,” McDowell said. “So, will Web sites, will bloggers have to give equal time or equal space on their Web site to opposing views rather than letting the marketplace of ideas determine that?”

"VEE VANT TO RRREGULATE YOURRR CONTENT!"

I was not wrong, nor was I completely right either. Both solutions to the problem depended on your perspective. I was unaware and for a long time could not understand the others perspective, but also they were not great geniuses, or they would have also seen that my answer was as well correct. They grasped only that the answer could be determined by seeing the problem from a vantage point that was limited to only to a certain set of lines. Had they focused on the depth of the problem they would have been able to determined where I was going with the problem and would have understood that both answers were correct.

It's old history now, jay, but you took the high road and I took the low road. I simply mapped out the solutions on the grids of low order. The equation didn't match the results. If you tried the same you would have seen the same results.

Neither one of us at the time was able to see each others solution.

We are talking about your sophisticated but wrong solution to a grid transversal problem you posed quite awhile ago. And there's no being part right and part wrong about such things. Sorry to be so pedantic, and feel free to read me the riot act.

OK, I've got a memory like an elephant, but OK. Anyway, I didn't really mean that about you dropping dead. Truth is, I enjoy your posts.
