even the site that "debunks" this map admits it looks like an historical representation of Antarctica.
So it's entirely possible that glaciation was different (that is some parts were iced over and others were not), or had less ice than today...
The showing of topographical features like mountains means that somebody had to explore it...
The jury is still out on how accurate it was back then, and what it means to us today.
