I think I'm fucked, but not as bad as most. Several decent things in my corner, a few against. I'm kind of fucked.

Yer average kid in subsaharan Africa with two AIDS-infected parents and a hut in the middle of the desert is way more fucked than I am.

The Bush twins are considerably less fucked than me. Even Dick Cheney's gay daughter is less fucked than me, and she's got name recognition.

in general, i think americans and those in the middle east are those that will suffer most.

i think that european countries may fare a lot better as we are in the EU and we have agreements to assist each nation state in times of emergencies etc. also, we are a lot more socialist than the US is - people actually care about what happens to their neighbours here and dont simply abandon them if they've no money.

in general, i think i'll have no money for a good while, but i've never really had money anyway - having been a student for many years doing law, and only just started full time work 18 months ago on a fairly low-ish wage as a trainee lawyer.

I have been through hell and high water more than once in my life and this is just another challenge.
Bring it on.I do SPARTAN for breakfast.
But if it hit tomorow, Id probably be kinda fucked for a week or two.

As for me, I haven't been fucked in over five years, which I suppose makes me a born-again virgin. But I'm not the kind of guy to go for casual sex, and I still might find Mr. Wonderful one of these days. Might even get married unless the Jim Crow Amendment gets passed.

Fairly fucked, I think. I live in Southampton, UK, a densely populated area in a densely populated country - I have a feeling that land for agriculture is going to be in short supply, no real "spare" land where you could set up a smallholding, especially as all the other urbanites will also be looking for land.

Not looking forward to year-on-year price hikes for food, massive unemployment etc, and more than a little terrified at the idea of the water supply flaking out - perhaps it's time to head for Wales (lots of rainfall) or Ireland (ditto, and space too).

Or perhaps it's time to buy a very large bag of assorted hard drugs and go out in style. Still, at least the prospect of getting emphysema isn't quite so scary now <koff koff wheeze>.

Here's hoping your prospects look better, wherever you are.
