Glad you're back with us, Aaron.

Odd thing, actually, a few days ago I was feeling down and started wondering how, if one of us kicked the bucket, how would the members of that great dysfunctional Peak Oil Tribe ever find out about it? Me, for example, I haven't posted much, but I've surfed and followed these forums every day from work and from home and they have absolutely changed my life. So I'm a part of this 'entity' - but would the other components know somehow if one cell was snuffed out? I occasionally check over some of the earlier posters here who have stopped posting, and I wonder.......

Regards,

L.

Simply amazing, Aaron. I'm really glad you made it through and are recovering.

Your story has scared the living hell out of me.

I have to go to the bathroom now.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Hogan', 'A')aron, you might consider becoming a vegetarian. It's good for the heart.

Hang in there and take care. :)

A BIG 10-4 on that suggestion. I was thinking the same thing exactly.

But if you can't swing (for whatever reason) a full tour on the veggie wagon, at least restrict intake to specific fish now and then the best kinds of which your Dr. can suggest.

In all seriousness, glad you're still with us.

Keep on the meds!

Leave for a week and somebody's already wondering who's going to take your job. I believe that is why the stress level increases around vacation time. :)

In 2003, like you, I found myself in emergency only hours from death (congestive heart failure). An event like that "focuses the mind wonderfully". In my case it has worn off a bit as time passes. But I have never been the same since.

Welcome back. You would have been greatly missed. There aren't that many of us to spare. And... please stay focused.

Right.
You could get hit by a UPS truck if you stay focused on your heart, its fixed already
everything is the SAME today as last month only BETTER, the problem is fixed and your chance of sudden death is much less now
You should be happier and more at ease than last month right?
So forget about it, and get on with life, you obviously are meant to be here that should give you some peace.

Now get back to work, we have a quota to meet.

Actually I feel freakin' excellent.

A little sore, but bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

And yeah, I have modified my diet with more fruits & veggies, less meat and no beef at all.

Salmon seems to be a staple dietary item now.

This happened July 10th @ around 10:30 am in Atlanta.

I have sometimes wondered about the ghosts of posters past myself actually... how many have passed unnoticed by the community?

Thanks again for all the well-wishing and kind words.

I truly am humbled.

And no... no spaghetti-monster or anything interesting to report.

Just a supreme sense of comfort & well-being... like when you're dreaming & you know it, and you just sorta go with it.

What you guys don't know, is that through my life, I should have died already so many times, it's a bit creepy. Not from health issues but rather situations and such where I very easily could have perished in various ways.

I've been somewhat adventurous at different points along the way, and had a wonderful variety of experiences, many of which came with attendant risks.

A boat is safe in the harbor... but that isn't what it's made for.

Aaron, I am really pleased your not dead. This would not be the same place without your guiding hand. I am also angry with you, for neglecting your medication and health.

Aaron,
You have my congrats and admiration for your continued verticality.
Best wishes and hopes for a speedy, and complete, recovery.
Take your meds, exercise, and don't drink over 2 bottles of red wine a day - or is that two glasses?
