Gas where I live just jumped from $1.99 to $2.22/gal for unleaded and $2.42/gal for premuim.

The median was about $1.95 last week. Recently, I have seen as low as $2.03 @ the indy gas station across the street and as high as $2.19 @ the Shell stations.

Damn Monte!

Gas here in Nevada has been averaging about $2.14 per gallon for a while now. And we haven't even been hit with the gas price hikes- yet. I imagine it will jump to at least $2.40 per gallon here really soon. I am predicting gas prices in Nevada to top out at $2.80 to $3 per gallon this summer. I almost feel sorry for all those unsuspecting SUV and pick-up drivers... almost.

Last week: 2.069/Gal Unleaded
This week: 2.149/Gal Unleaded

These prices are at Jin's mart in Pullman, other places are more expensive, (unless you go 8 miles to moscow).

Here in the East Bay it's $2.15 or so for unleaded 87 octane. About 5 to 10 cents under what it was last October. Diesel is around $2.50.

they're going up, but not rapidly. Then again they are already at 2.21 for the cheap gas at the bargin sellers. Still off our october highs, which were atleast 10-20 cents more.

I don't leave the house enough to see what gas prices around here are at. I always seem to ignore the site of gas stations when I ride my bike. I get the feeling that gas stations will have some interesting displays in good time. In the meantime, I'm glad my Israeli NATO gas can.

Alright all you super Euros... :) we Americanos here on this board realize how cheap gas still is in the US. But most other Americans think $2 gas is expensive, and $3 gas is unthinkable.

Nevada,

$3 gas will soon be thinkable for your fellow americanos... :)

BUT:

If they wait two furhter years, $ 3 gas will be unthinkable once more - it will be unthinkable, that gas could ever again be sold so damned cheap... :P

But by then the USD will be approx. 0,10 Euro and you all will earn tenfold your todays pay - nothing to worry about... 8O

Sorry...
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

A mere $1.77 at Costco in Texas.

And, NevadaGhosts, even though I agree with you about the SUV's, my pet peeve are the ones who drive gigantic, crew cab, dual rear wheel F350's and Dodge Tritons.

When I see them filling up, I always smile. They think it's 'cause I'm a good natured person. 8)

Baton Rouge LA, home of one of the largest petroleum refineries in the US:

Last week:

$1.73 -- regular
$1.93 -- premium

Today:

$1.89 -- regular
$2.09 -- premium

There's still about 10¢/gallon to go before it reaches the highs of last May.

Here in Montreal, Canada, it went up to 98.4 cents (canadian) a liter and came back to 88.2. I noticed something unusual at the petro-canada gas station near my place, they put down the price display and I suspect they are about to upgrade their system in order to display four digits gas prices which they could not do before!

Gas prices are changing fast here in western NY.
I filled up this morning and the prices are written on paper that is stuck to the pumps, they aren't even bothering to change the plastic numbers!
