My thoughts exactly. Isn't this more like Springfield?

I'm thinking it's just an exercise in humility.

Gotta know how the boss is...
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.

In modern day Mayberry Aunt Bea is struggling to survive diabetes on a meager pension. Sheriff Andy's busy trying to clean up meth labs, near town. He does his best for Opie, even though his sherriff's salary has been reduced due to unpaid property tax. There was a near riot at Gomer's gas station, and his house is in foreclosure. Barney found Jesus and preaches during the day, moonlights as a website administrator for porn sites at night.

Otis, the town drunk, cleaned up his act, became a neo-con, and now works for Clear Channel as the local shock jock.

Let us not forget the biggest thing to ever happened in Mayberry.

I like your new tag line Mule.

The line as I remember the original goes:

Life is like a shit sandwich
The more bread you have,
The less shit you have to eat.

I'm thinking Otis turned yellow and died from a bad liver.

I like it too. That movie is full of amazing one liners.

Two of my favorites:

Hartman: You ugly f__ing, walrus looking, piece of s__t, I will motivate you Private Pyle....

then at the end of the movie,

Joker: I am in a world of sh-t yes, but I'm alive, and I am not afraid.
"We were standing on the edges
Of a thousand burning bridges
Sifting through the ashes every day
What we thought would never end
Now is nothing more than a memory
The way things were before
I lost my way" - OCMS
