As I surfed the internet at my local coffee shop today, I saw something amazing. Diablo 3, had been confirmed, and with some juicy trailers to boot!

Ok, Ok, I know this is the open forum area, but really, since when do we take the time to review videogames here??? The last time I checked video games were a tremendous waste of time, money, and most importantly...resources!!

Haven't played Diablo in forever, Downloaded a beta a couple of years ago and it crashed my Diablo II program.Couldn't recover it without my keycode which I of course had lost.

That website is very well done. Blizzard takes a LONG time in releasing games. I would be surprised if this came out before the end of 2009. However their screenshots and videos give the impression that the game is moving along nicely. I am glad to see its not going to be a MMORG either. Well until it comes out at least we will have Sacred 2 which comes out in the fall of this year.

In response to the game engine question, this is from Blizzards website.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')hat engine is Diablo III running on? What graphical enhancements are included?

Diablo III runs on a custom 3D game engine for rendering full-3D characters and environments. The 3D game engine not only simulates advanced animation sequences and sound effects, but also uses a custom physics engine that allows for realistic object dynamics and cloth simulation.

We won't know if it's as polished as the original until after the release. The video I have seen thus far, looks really good to my eyes.

Yer, a few posters need to get of their pedestals about Video games, as if not playing them is somehow going to save any electricity.

I take it this is PC only, you'll probably need a mammoth one aswell.
Good games though the Diablos.

If you havent already follow the link Midnight Gamer posted. Watch the gameplay video and many of your questions will be answered. Amazing is all I gotta say. Blizzard is pretty good with minimal game specs. There is such a huge following of this franchise. Remember D2 came out in 98 and there are still thousands of people playing it online at battle.net. Blizzard knows what is at stake.
