When my grandma died about ten years ago, we had to replace the lock on the front door of her house. It'd been so long since it was locked, nobody knew where the key was. That's the way it used to be around here. Nobody locked anything. Most people left the keys in the ignition of their car so they wouldn't lose them. My how things have changed.

I'm, literally, half a mile from the nearest house. I'm 2 miles from the nearest paved road. 10 miles from the nearest town which has all of 1200 people in it. I'm 12 miles from the nearest interstate and 70 miles from the nearest city with a population in excess of 10,000.

If I see thousands of people passing through my country, the crap has really hit the fan. And someone has been giving the bastards good shoes!
