Documentary: "The Revolution will Not Be Televised"

Postby TrueKaiser » Mon 07 Mar 2005, 18:58:00

i am currently watching a documentary of the same name, so far the basic thing about it is how Washington has it's hand in the opposition to chavez(spelling?). mainly because he promised to spread the wealth of their oil profits to the people who need it most. the poor. also do to his opposition to the methods the united states is using in the war on terror/oil.

i think it would be a good thing if all of you watch it.

true kaiser,

I saw this documentary several months ago. I agree, it's a must watch.

Of particular interest to me was the segment detailing how the Venezuelan media ( controlled by the formerly ruling elite), made it look like Chavez supporters had fired on innocent people during a demonstration (by clever editing), when in fact they were shooting back at hidden snipers. (one may asked who the snipers were working for?).

thanks EnviroEngr for changing the title i didn't know who it was made by.

sf_enginer, it's pretty obvious who those snipers were working for. the people involved with the initial coup meet with bush so i do not think it is quite outrageous to claim they were on the cia payroll. also the American plane to take Chavez was was clearly bound for out little prison camp in Cuba.
anyway i think this is a good movie and should be watched by everyone, especially those who are in the 'America can do no wrong' crowd. i had to obtain my copy from not so mainstream because the one they sell here is the abridged version with the info that ties the people in the initial coup to the bush administration cut out.

edit: spelling.
