Peak Oil Timeline: Past To Present

Unread postby Polemic » Sat 21 Jun 2008, 15:11:28

I would like to build, with your help, a timeline of peak oil related phenomena and media from past to present - particularly of the period from 2004 to now.

For Example:

1956 - M. King Hubbert theorizes oil production curves and peak oil for lower-48 U.S.

...

1997 - Colin Campbell publishes book The Coming Oil Crisis

...

June 20, 2008
- FoxNews.com displays peak oil article on its front page: Do High Petroleum Prices Mean We've Reached 'Peak Oil'?

[hr]

So, care to help fill in the blanks?

This would be a neat visual way to catalog the evolution of awareness and thinking about peak oil. It could even be a website "feature" - linked from the home page.

It could be a "fun" community effort if everyone chipped in an entry or ten.

It could also be quite useful, when completed, to better everyone's general understanding of what has transpired thus far.
