As you may not know, we can now directly pump energy into cells, via electromagnetic sources, and increase the bioenergy level.

Speeding up healing and all that.
I was thinking, what if you didn't use it for just healing? What if you reduced the amount of food consumed, the amount of sugars and fats and what not, and replaced it with an energy diet? You still ate what you needed to survive, but drastically decreased caloric levels, and used high powered LEDs or Near Infrared Antenna's to replace your bodies bioenergy supply. You then supplemented the energy from that with power from either a solar power source, or an alternative power source.
Furthermore, the oxygen requirements associated with traditional power sources wouldn't apply here. Your body would be bypassing some of your oxygen usage because of supplemented energy from the machines. You could thus do more work, and accomplish more.
Also, if you were to power this with an infrared antenna, or an infrared solar cell, one that absorbed energy in the atmospheric region, you could continually absorb energy from your environment and wouldn't even need to replenish your power supply, as you would be converting ambient thermal energy in the air to a power source to power your body. Both infrared antennas, and infrared photovoltaics exist(that's what they use for infrared heat vision goggles).
Of course you'd have to make the sacrifice of becoming a cyborg, but hey, if everyone did it, it would greatly reduce energy constraints on society, as pure electrical power per calorie is cheaper to produce than food is.
