$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Drifter', 'I') have a plea to everyone... please don't feed the trolls!
There are a few newer member cornucopian trolls roaming this board trying to twist or discredit good, reliable information with false or misleading statements and information. I won't name names, but trolls... you know who you are. Graeme, I'm not talking about you. I may not agree with everything you post, but I don't think you are a troll anymore. Just a very positive thinker.
Thank you Drifter. My intention was always not to antagonize people but to provide hope that we may eventually get through this difficult period in human history. There is no certainty though for the doomers or cornucopians.
Hubbert provided us with the possibility that solar power would be a suitable replacement for oil.

That's why I am so interested in the development and progress of solar including space solar and other renewable energy technologies, and why I will continue to contribute to the future energy news thread. In one sense, I might be regarded as
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')n the Peak Oil debate, the views of those labeled as cornucopian are very diverse, ranging from the simplistic "we will never run out of oil" to pessimistic views such as "we might transition to alternatives fast enough to barely avoid the collapse of civilization". The spectrum is broad enough that some who are characterized as cornucopians by doomers might be characterized as peakniks or even doomers by other cornucopians. A typical cornucopian view might be characterized as "there exist viable solutions to the problem of peak oil".
