$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Drifter', 'W')ow, I just saw this thread right after posting this. Glad I'm not the only one around here who feels this way. I agree 100%. The trolls you listed (and a few others) are going to ruin this board by frustrating or scaring off good posters. Maybe that is their plan. People, please don't fall for their disinformation.

I say leave them alone.

At best they might help people with their critical thinking.

The argument stands for itself. People, IMO should not be protected from other peoples opinion, no matter how ridiculous.

I don't see why they are called trolls. I haven't seen any of them deny peak oil is or will occur, they just have a different opinion. If anything, a lot of the name calling & racist posts(by regular & "expert" members) are a lot more trollish & offensive & likely to drive new members off. If this forum wants to limit everyone to having 1 opinion, then it should state so.

Based on what? Bad information, that's what?

AND totally different than opinions about politics, religion, or unions.

Very intelligent people can be on opposing sides on just about every issue. Labeling those who oppose your viewpoint as trolls is just a form of ad hominem attack.

Let's just back off on this behavior, people. Please make your arguments based on facts and verified information.

If only the issue with the posters mentioned was "facts and verified information".

They are usually making up their own facts as they go along, except some times they do find links to some articles that don't provide enough detail. Such as stating Brazil has a great new oil find, but when you read the article it implies they are talking about some natural gas they might get 10 years from now.

But that is not the worst of it. They make specific and unwarranted personal attacks on person who oppose their views.

Apparently they feel free to intimadate people here. If I were a new forum reader, I'd think twice about posting.

If that is the case then you need to contact a moderator by PM and link to the offending post.

It's good to get conflicting information. Makes one think harder.

So... do something.

The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

Aaron, will that "Troll-Off" spray of yours work well on that are listed?

They're still here!

Otherwise they're making it sound like there's no Peak Oil.
