$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Last_Laff', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('LX1', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('uNkNowN ElEmEnt', 'I')f there were no peak oil:
I would not have given my car away and would still be putting it on the road 3 months of the year.
I would not have moved 600 miles out of a big city.
I would not have started learning how to knit socks and felt clothes.
I would still be container gardening in the city and would still be vermicomposting with my worms.
I would still have a monthly menu but not have a food storage plan.
I would still be recycling and trying to save energy but not worry about how to heat my home without electricity.
Life would be more carefree. My stress level would not be non-existant but it would be less. I would not worry so much about my childrens future but would still have the normal concerns.
you need to seek professional help.

I think you're the one who needs one. Why you'd think she needs help? Douche.
 its extremely unhealthy to have such a pessimistic and apocolyptic view of the world, 'peak oil',especially now, doesnt warrant such a dramatic and sudden change in lifestyle and mental wellbeing. but youre probably a doomsdayer,so no point in arguing.

Right, no point in arguing because you're just a douche who do need to seek help, for the second time I've said that for your sake. Whatever you're saying went over my head.
People's world view isn't the same as the peak oil unfolds distributes unevenly, (I know that may not make sense to you however...) who knows what will ya be end up... therefore STFU.

So I let you talk and be an A** You and Me all you want*.
So whats is unhealthy? Judging upon their health of mental being a doomer? Okay, I see how this is going for you.
For the argument with you; the buck stops here.

Gosh, you know, that is not an easy question to anwser. I grew up poor by most western standards. And was ingrained with the ideas of, simplicity, "less is more", responsibility to family and community, ect. So, I personally can't take credit for a lot of what has been passed to me. But, I have learned more about gardening, sewing, and "practial arts" since first reading peak oil stuff. I have purchased more food for storage, extra blankets, and some shoes for my kids the next size up. And we've decided not to have any more children, even through adoption, because it would be another mouth to feed and we can't really afford that. Not with out the states help anyway. And eventhough the state assists with adoption, I don't believe that net will be there much longer and we can't responsibly afford another family member.
We moved to a small town. Bicycle more and drive a fuel efficent car (albeit very rarely.)
Hmm... I wonder what else I would do different and what was a natural extension of our lives just playing themselves out? For me (& us) sometimes hard to distinguish?
