$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Lumpy', 'T')ex - since this is kind of a fluff thread (as in "no duh, we're all gonna die"), would you please avail yourself of this opportunity to explain that monogram on your latest avatar?
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely yours,
Lumpy
The King was fond of the TCB symbol with the lightning bolt. The lightning bolt signified the "flash", as in "Taking Care of Business in a Flash."
That was the King.
Here is one explanation I came across:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he lightning bolt represented Elvis' "emblem", "Taking Care of Business, In a Flash". "Taking Care of Business", or TCB for short, was meant to be a symbol of the people who followed Elvis. He created this emblem after having met President Richard Nixon in 1970, and after receiving an Outstanding Young Men's Award from the Junior Chamber of Commerce (the Jaycees) in 1971.
Later, he penned a philosophy behind the lightning bolt which included "body conditioning", "respect for fellow man", and "freedom from constipation". (He never took himself too seriously.)
is a website with more about the TCB philosophy and techniques (including "TLC" for the ladies), along with more hideous jewelry.
