I watched the new Rambo movie, quite entertaining and as someone said, this is the one that should have been called There Will Be Blood. Yikes! I know that the regime there is brutal. There are supposed to be about 800,000 people in forced labor, i.e. slaves and the Monk protests were put down fiercely, and so on. But the wanton slaughter portrayed in the movie was incredibly vicious. Was it Hollywood Hyperbole? I took the cruelty shown in Hotel Rwanda and Blood Diamond to accurate depictions of what really happened in Rwanda and Sierra Leon, but my guess is that the Rambo flick may be Stallone going for the jugular at the expense of reality. Anybody know otherwise? I'd like to hear it.
