That's true, however if Demand Stays higher then supply and that it will stay that way. And i doubt that they can produce more oil since Russia is declining also at the moment.
You can assume that we reached the top or a plateau, and President Bush said it in that video :
"the prices are high because demand is greater then the available oil"
Theory of peakoil is in my opinion exact the same. However if they suddenly can produce more oil then demand needs then i'm wrong. But they probably can't cause Bush is begging the saudis for a second time now and all he got is an pathetic 300 000 barrels increase and the price of oil is still the same.
And when you hear "the oil president" talk about alternatives you should be very affraid ^^
Btw i personally believe we reached the top 2 years ago in late 2006 when Indonesia couldn't export anymore oil and when mexico in the future can't export any more oil. I fear for the worst,
