There is no doubt that this is going on in the U.S. as well.
If the Fed is willing to take garbage collateral from banks and loan out treasuries in return, then it only makes sense that banks will respond by creating more garbage collateral to exchange for treasuries.

Massive Human Dieoff <b>must</b> occur as a result of Peak Oil. Many more than half will die. It will occur everywhere, including where <b>you</b> live. If you fail to recognize this, then your odds of living move toward the "going to die" group.

Posturing and whining, trying to play innocent. The entire PURPOSE with the new "loan" programs was to take over the garbage from the banks. The garbage nobody else wanted. Why would the CB's take over the garbage in emergency programs in the first case if someone else was willing to pay for it???

What the ECB appears to be saying is that the garbage coming in is becoming even more low quality - and they can't have that@!!
