Probably arguing with a stop sign while being pompous and pretentious.

What about OIM? Or nwildman? Or Spec? Or Kam? There's a lot of people that I "miss".

PO has changed so much over the years and so have the characters. We used to be dedicated to energy, now that's an afterthought.*. Oil is gone so are NG and coal options - they've been thoroughly digested. Alt's are still discussed somewhat. Then climate change (still here a good bit). Got into a lot of politics and geopolitics (racism and tribalism BS soon followed - or did politics follow tribalism?). And now we pretty much talk about having sex with ourselves. And we wonder why people left.

*At least this is what I've perceived going through the "Since last visit" page throughout the years.

He and pops now help out round my farm.

He has not earned internet access yet.

When he does I'll let him say hi to ya all.

Pops showed up with food...that gave him immeadiate access to the computer.

People used to not know if peak oil really would have any impact on us. Even back as short as 2005 when I joined. Now it is highly evident that it is in fact affecting us ($4.00 gas, $100 oil). Thats why theres no conversation. There is nothing to dispute.

Yeah. I still liked those discussions - looking at the numbers, people would do their own data crunching and then compare for all oil, light sweet, KSA, etc. It made it seem like we actually did stuff. Since then, we really have become just another MySpace or Facebook - largely just a place to talk about whatever issue we want. Main thing we're missing is the ability to add friends.

What about Bas? I can't remember seeing him lately. That would explain BT and ferret as new Mods.
