I looked last year but couldn't find whether the BP report is calculated "at Current Usage" or using some factor for pop. increase and expanding markets or do they figure those will be mute with rising costs?
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.

I don't put much hope in the Ipod and Entitlement Generation to lead us through a powerdown scenario. "New ideas" from these cretins usually involve more technology (read: more energy). While your end result might be realistic, don't count on the selfish 10 year-old with Blackberry to lead us there.

Yea, but they will make great warriors. Thousands of hours playing halo 3 and eating pizza rolls has created a generation of super soliders. Right?

Don't need much skills against baby boomers!

At least the video games have made them less sensitive to violence, so that is advantage when it comes to survival. What do the boomers have that makes them so much better? The Ipod generation has video games, mp3 players, and Mcdonalds... the boomers have/had yacchts, Miami Vice, Toyota's, Phil Collins records (what the hell were you guys thinking buying that crap) and wine coolers... different generation, same personality, the only difference is the toys.

Besides, it's not like the boomers really worked as hard as they'd like you to believe. They lived most of their life in a time of economic prosperity where decent jobs or better were numerous. They got a lucky break, did a little hard work and then try to pass it off as a huge achievement , a tremendous obstacle that was conquered. The truth is, the boomers didn't work any harder than the next generation, they just got a lucky break. But they'll never admit that it was luck, they'll just keep spewing these crazy stories about how hard they worked for their success... kind of like the idiot at the poker table who gets one good hand and then starts bragging about how good he is at poker.
