Did crude oil export peak in 2005?

There is an interesting graph and spreadsheet at the Net Oil Exports Blog

It seems to show the we are on the down slope of oil exports while world crude production remains on a undulating plateau. Is this proof of the Export Land Model, that the major oil producing countries are using more of their own oil rather than exporting it?

Cripes, that's a nice xls. Was curious about this very phenomenon today actually, might use his work as a template to plug in numbers of my own.

Things are showing a bit of a downturn now, but who knows six months later? You could correlate his numbers against what's promised in the next few years, mash it all together, see what it looks like.
