Thank you for sharing. Do you think Thailand will be able to sustain it's infrastructure with enough alternate travel methods?
I have ties in the country, it's always fun to share experiences.
Btw, do you speak Thai? Have you had trouble adapting to a different culture. I know in my personal experience, after a few weeks there, I was really desperate for Western cooking!

I spent a week in Pattaya back in Feb. Even with the use of Baht taxis(imagine that in America) traffic is always at critical mass. Driving to Bankok on a friday night is like watching everyone try to get the hell out of New Orleans 2 days before a hurricane.
