Listen Up Ladies Lead in your Lipstick!

You could be delivering a kiss of poison!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he brands with the highest lead concentrations were L'Oreal's Colour Riche "True Red" and "Classic Wine," with 0.65 and 0.58 ppm, respectively. Next came Cover Girl's Incredifull Lipcolor "Maximum Red" (0.56 ppm), and Dior Addict's "Positive Red" (0.21 ppm).

"The good news is that the tests show it is possible to make lipstick without lead," the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics said. "Thirty-nine percent of lipsticks tested had no detectable levels of lead, and cost doesn't seem to be a factor. Some less expensive brands such as Revlon ($7.49) had no detectable levels of lead, while the more expensive Dior Addict brand ($24.50) had higher levels."

I honestly prefer ladies without make-up, they look so pla$tic and look worst after they take out the make-up (if used for prolonged periods of time). Also, long nails are a fetish of useless work; they're a way of saying that a lady does not do actual physical work with her hands... useless humans using useless adornments seen as an "upper class", how pathetic.

there's health food store brands that don't carry that stuff in them. I use Burt's Bees lipglosses, which are kind of like a chapstick with color in them, not dense color either. Since I don't wear much makeup, if at all, they give just the right amount of polish w/out looking like a call girl. (for me, that is.)

I am not a "red lipstick" kind of gal, never was.

*I agree about the quote with women and makeup, the long nails I never got into. I am at the garden centers now, and have no use for them, either dealing with the plants, pots, etc. or ringing on the cash register. I just won't have em. Gotta keep the hands clean though, and with a good hand lotion though..nice to have soft hands to hold. :-D

blukatzen, I agree on the soft hands... but for skin health I use only aloe vera.

Where is that avatar from? It looks like wheels...

Mmmm, no.

Blondes especially need eyeshadow. There is also something conditioned in me that associates no makeup with lesbians. I just can't help but think of the no-makeup look as butch.

w-e, the one girl I currently like doesn't use make-up or use it rarely and scarcely. I'm talking of real, face to face, relationships with girls, no pla$tic photos of girls you don't even know face to face.

Your lesbian preconditioned mental construct is unjustified, I could as easily say that "girls that use make-up look like whores", and it will be unjustified.
