Last few mornings, CNN, CNBC, etc, have been going on about how our financial problems have all bottomed out and that all is hunky dory and on the upswing from here on in. WTF? Time to sell the gold and get back into stocks?

Trying to emphasize what little good indicators there are. People can only take so much bad news.

Unfortunately that won't solve the problems associated with our society.

So no, not time to sell gold.

The market goes up....everything is peachy.
The market goes down...everything is in chaos to these people...or...paid talking heads.

I always feel like the folks who come here to PO are far more realistic, of course, than the news networks. So, I don't even bother watching. I refuse to pay for cable due to all the shit it contains.

So everything is good today...the market is up!
Oil is also climbing again....even better!

I've noticed this too. Telling us we are not technicaly in a recession, stating the the small pull back in oil prices is the beginning of a roll back in gas prices. Such BS!!!

But most folk like to feel that we are at the end of the slowdown, instead of the beginning of great economic pain. So CNN et al, tell them what they want to hear.
