I am still pretty pleased with the fuel economy of my Corolla. I have exactly no concern about looks, acceleration, or machismo. Worst thing about it is to find your 12-year-old beige Corolla in a parking lot. A family friend is a Dodge/Chrysler dealer (and most of the vehicles in my family have been Mopar for that reason). I pointed out that Chrysler doesn't have a car on the lot now that gets even close to the economy of my '96 Corolla, while an '08 Corolla is even better than that. In fact, the smallest car they sell now doesn't get one whit better gas mileage than the Aries K-Car did when they stopped selling them 20 years ago. Sigh.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('vision-master', 'W')hat's out there right now and what's new for 2009?

I've been eyeing up the Yaris.

Kid's GF has a Yaris and it gets phenomenal mileage. However the Corolla gets 1 mpg better mileage. It is a much roomier and practical car, but it isn't as cute.

I would like to have offered the dark lord a ride in my ram bam thank ewe ma'am van...but I sold it to a fella who wants to go out west and bond with his son...Selling the van and moving on to the mini cooper also fulfills the archetype journey of delving more into the microcosmic mini realm and spending less time in the big macrocosmic van. namaste

Nice "plate". Can I get one of those down at the license borrow.

I am impressed as to your '43' connections... I will tell you that before I altered my license plate with adobe...it read 424. I always wondered what those numbers 'indicated'...I had them on two vehicles....I wondered if it was related to being together for 4 years, had 2 kids, and then separated for 4 years, and then got a divorce...true...424. so tell me about 42 and the apparent answer to the universe...I thought one of the answers was 7/3?
Which coincidently is the month and day I was born. Cancer child ...month of Tammuz... We can be very very bad... '3rd post from the son', should a good one....
