$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('virgincrude', '[')b]Isn't one of the major arguments on this site that people should have
fewer children? Or does that only apply to OTHER people?
Like Nigerians, say?
It's a common argument, that concludes with Jevons Paradox.
The Nigerians will keep having kids if there is spare grain to send
them. If the grain gets used up here first, it gets used here first and
Nigerians starve. And eventually Nigerians starve anyway. But
getting back to the paradox, if you buy a bicycle, someone else gets
a better deal on gas for their SUV. In a world system run by chaotic
free markets, your conservation will be used by others, this includes
attempts at conservative procreation.
Jevons paradox
"...reducing the amount needed for a given output, improved
efficiency lowers the cost of using a resource – which increases demand."
